Before construction started, Rob laid out a time line and a budget for my owners and I. He stuck to it and anything over the time or the budget was a change on our (owners) part that was always explained and communicated clearly by Rob.

Another great thing about Hobson Masonry was the ability to always get in touch with Rob. Unlike many contractors, Rob was always in touch with me and kept me updated as much as I kept him updated. My questions, comments, and requests were fielded with respect and a spirit of willing cooperation. It was a pleasure working with Rob during the construction of our home. He and his team are not just stonemasons, they are true artisans. When Rob and I were discussing the fireplace in our Great Room, he asked whether we'd like an extra mantelpiece in order to prop up a piece of art. My comment was that the stonework, itself, was a piece of art!! One thing led to another and we ended up commissioning one of Rob's team to carve a celtic knot of Indiana Limestone which was then imbedded above the mantle. Another time, one of the stonemasons beckoned me over and asked whether we really did want a mantle over the fireplace in our summer room. Instead his idea was to replicate the arch design that we had over some of the outside windows and craft that over the fireplace. It looks fantastic! In short, Rob and his team take pride in their craft and truly care about the work they undertake.
